DEFINITION OF SEAL
The RED, YELLOW and BLUE colors represent the color of the Philippine Army National Flag which the Filipino soldier owes allegiance to.
The GRAY color background symbolizes the non-partisan of the AFP.
The MAYON VOLCANO, the famous cone-shaped volcano found in Bicol region symbolizes the pride of 2nd Cavalry Squadron personnel to the rich cultural and historical heritage of the Filipino people.
The TAMARAW is a wild animal that can be found only in Mindoro Island which represents the bravery and resiliency of the Army Soldier. It is also the basic characteristics of the wild animal.
The RICE FIELD symbolizes the main livelihood of the Southern Tagalog and Bicol regions people.
GREEN COLOR is the distinctive color assigned to the cavalry in a decree issued by President Emilio Aguinaldo on 30 July 1898. Since the establishment of the Philippine Army Light Armor Regiment (PALAR), the branch color was predominantly gray until the adoption of green and gold (or yellow) in 1992.
